The idea for Memory Lane Stories was born out of my own experience. When I went travelling as a teenager, I came home with nothing but photos saved on my phone, buried in a camera roll never to be found again.

As time passed, I realised how easy it was to forget the small moments, the emotions, and the stories behind those images. Growing up, I loved looking through my parents’ and grandparents’ photo albums, reliving their memories with them, listening to their stories, and taking a real trip down memory lane. I felt a deep sense of disappointment that I wouldn’t have that same kind of tangible legacy for myself.

That’s when it hit me: so many of my generation’s memories exist only in the digital world, easily lost, buried in camera rolls, or forgotten in the cloud. I wanted to create something that pushed back against that. Not just a photo album, but a keepsake that combined imagery with rich, personal storytelling, something that captures the important details, emotions, and anecdotes we never want to forget. Something worthy of being passed down which keeps the magic of those memories alive through the years. This is Memory Lane Stories, for storytelling in a digital generation.
